On 23rd March 2016, KPJUC and KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital has received a visit from Cotabato City Hospital, Philippines. The visit was led by Dr. Danda Juanday, the President of Bangsamoro Medical Society (BMS).
The visit set the stage for vibrant bilateral relations between the two countries with a special focus on collaboration in the realm of healthcare and healthcare education.

Also present during the visit was Tuan Haji Aminuddin Dawam, Executive Director of KPJ Healthcare Berhad and Tuan Haji Abdol Wahab Baba, Vice-President 1, KPJ Healthcare Berhad.

KPJUC Running With A Cause

In line with KPJUC vision in becoming the preferred healthcare education provider, on 20th February 2016 KPJUC with KRS Event Management Sdn Bhd participated in a charity run focusing on beating Lysosomal Diease. Lysosomal storage diseases are caused by an inborn error of metabolism that results in the absence or deficiency of an enzyme, leading to the inappropriate storage of material in various cells of the body.

50 KPJUC runners participated in the charity run that was held at Taman Warisan Puteri, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. In supporting the effort, KPJUC also conducted a free health screening beside spreading awareness to the public on the important of healthy lifestyle.

KPJIC JB Riding The Healthcare Rainbow Slide

Located at Adda Height Recreation Park on 9th January 2016, KPJIC JB has organized ‘Rainbow Health Carnival’. The carnival was an initiative taken by the final year Diploma in Nursing with the objectives of raising fund for selected cancer treatment centers, educating the public on the important of healthy lifestyle, instilling the caring value of a health care practitioner as well as promoting KPJIC JB brand value.

The highlight of the event was “Color Run” which received the support from more than 300 runners of all ages. The run was officiated with the present of Mr Haji Abdul Aziz Tohak, Dato Onn City Council member and KPJIC JB CEO, Mr Haji Khairun Ahmad.

Other activities that were conducted were free talks on healthy eating, anti smoking and prevention method for dengue fever, free physical check up for BMI, blood pressure and glucose level, free tutorial on treatment and care for diabetic patient and a blood donation drive which was jointly organized by KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital. The consultation held during the carnival was led by Dr. Sabariah Jamaluddin.
