Academic Visit From Indonesian Institution

On 11th of November 2016 (Friday) KPJUC received a visit from Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan (STIKES) Hang Tuah Tanjung Pinang and Akademi Kebidanan (AKBID) Dehasen Bengkulu, Indonesia.
The purpose of the visit was to formulate academic cooperation within the field of healthcare and academic development in Indonesia.

It was also aimed to explore future collaboration opportunities between KPJUC and the Indonesian institutes. The visit from the management of both institutions covers site visits to all skill laboratories, inclusive of Nursing, Pharmacy, Midwifery and Medical Imaging.

Academic Visit of Delegation of Sri Lanka

KPJ Healthcare University College (KPJUC) welcomed an acedemic delegate from Sri Lanka to discuss collaboration to help improve the level of education in the field of health care in Sri Lanka on September 15, 2016.

With over 25 years experience in the field of health care education, KPJUC been selected to assist in the restructuring of healthcare education in Sri Lanka. Delegation of Sri Lanka was presented by the noble Faizal Cassim, the Deputy Minister of Health; Mukhtar Marikkar, Chairman and Founder of the Frostaire Group and Low Chin Guan, Chief Executive Officer of Venta LTD. On KPJUC behalf, the excellent academician that front line the meeting was Prof Dato ‘Dr. Lokman, Prof Dr. Fauziah Ahmad, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hamidah Hassan, and Engku Mashuri Engku Hussein, Senior Corporate Manager of Business Development of KPJ Healthcare Berhad.

During the visit, the noble Faizal Cassim exchanged views with Prof Dato ‘Dr Lokman Saim about current health issues and opportunities of both parties to establish a more strategic cooperative relations. The delegation’s visit was greeted with a welcome dance by KPJUC students and opening remarks from Prof. Dato’ Dr. Lokman Saim. In his welcoming speech, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Lokman speaks of gratitude and appreciation to the delegates and look forward to their visit to KPJUC are accurate and meet the goals to be achieved. Before the end of the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to look closely around the campus and followed by a photo session in droves.

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) Visit

“The one day visit to discuss potential collaboration in a number of programs such as Bachelor in Public Health Nursing, Master in Nursing Leadership and Administration and collaboration in research.”

On 7th September 2016, KPJUC play host to Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). Present during visit is The Right Honourable Sir Brian Leveson, Chancellor of LJMU; Prof. Nigel Weatherill, Vice Chancellor of LJMU; Prof. Peter Byers, Pro Vice Chancellor of Education; Prof. Ahmed Al-Shamma’a, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology; and Prof. Sir Jon Murphy, School of Police Technology.

The visit was to discuss on potential collaboration in a number of programs such as Bachelor in Public Health Nursing, Master in Nursing Leadership and Administration and collaboration in research.
The delegates also visited the nursing laboratory skills available at KPJUC. Also present at the event were Tuan Haji Ahmad Nasirruddin Harun, CEO of KPJUC, Prof. Dato Dr. Lokman Saim, President and Prof. Fauziah Ahmad, Vice President KPJUC.

Malaysia Pharmacy Students Council (MyPSA) Annual Gathering

On August 19 to August 21, 2016, KPJ Healthcare University College (KPJUC) has played host to the Malaysian Council of Pharmacy Students Association (MyPSA).

More than 200 pharmacy students from all over Malaysia attended this annual event which was held at KPJUC. The ceremony was officiated by the President and Chief Executive Officer of KPJUC, Prof. Dato Dr. Lokman Saim. Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Tan Keng Liang, who represented Malaysia Youth Project (the main sponsor) and Dean of Pharmacy of private universities throughout the country.

Mabuhay KPJUC!

On 23rd March 2016, KPJUC and KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital has received a visit from Cotabato City Hospital, Philippines. The visit was led by Dr. Danda Juanday, the President of Bangsamoro Medical Society (BMS).
The visit set the stage for vibrant bilateral relations between the two countries with a special focus on collaboration in the realm of healthcare and healthcare education.

Also present during the visit was Tuan Haji Aminuddin Dawam, Executive Director of KPJ Healthcare Berhad and Tuan Haji Abdol Wahab Baba, Vice-President 1, KPJ Healthcare Berhad.
