KPJUC ‘Shave The Date’

KPJ Healthcare University College (KPJUC) organized Movember – ‘Shave the Date’ Campaign in conjunction with the World Prostate Cancer Month. Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate, testicular cancer and men’s suicide .

During the kick off of the campaign, KPJUC also handed over a donation amounted RM1, 000.00 to the National Cancer Council (MAKNA) as a symbolic closure of the Pink October campaign, celebrated in October.

International Tolerance Day 2016

16th November 2016 (Wednesday), 60 students of KPJ Healthcare University College has participated in the celebration of International Tolerance Day 2016 organized by the Department of National Unity and National Integration located at Cyberjaya.

The grand ceremony was officiated by YB Tan Sri Datuk Panglima Joseph Kurup, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department. Celebration that is based on concepts of universal values, tolerance and moderation will showcase the diversity of Malaysians cultures and customs.

Friendly Session with District Police HQ (IPD) Nilai

On 10th of November 2016 – KPJ Healthcare University College organized a friendly session with District Police Headquarters (IPD) Nilai at Auditorium 1, KPJUC.

The main objective of this program is to strengthen the relationship of KPJUC’s family with the local law enforcement agency as well as to bring awareness to students and staff about the dangers of street crimes and drugs.

The program is also expected to provide awareness in the prevention of crimes among students within private education sectors, and most of all KPJUC students.

Also present at the program was Traffic and Crime Unit and Training Division representative, Inspector Tuan Mohd Najib Zamzuri and 5 other officers.

A total of 200 KPJUC students has benefited from attending this program.

Run Pinksaver Run

In conjunction with woman cancer awareness month, KPJUC has organized and participated in several cancer related events and among it was KPJ Sentosa Specialist Hospital Pinksavers Amazing Run. KPJUC supported the event by sending a number of 50 KPJUC team members to participate and volunteer. Held at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Tam Sze Kei and Norhazliza both first place and runner up for the 5 km race were two of KPJUC team member that crossed the finish line.

For a whole month campaign, at the university college level, staff were encourage to come to work wearing any pink outfit during working Saturday. A formation of human pink ribbon photo sessions were also held at KPJUC compound

Malaysia Book Of Records: Most Number of Participant In Taekwon-do Planks Breaking Demonstration

8th October 2016 – KPJ Healthcare University College (KPJUC) joined National Sports Day program organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia and Taekwan-Do Association (IFT) Putrajaya in an attempt to break the Malaysian Book of Records in ‘Most number of participant in taekwan-do planks breaking demonstration’. KPJUC was presented by a total of 110 Taekwan-Do students. The event begins from 8.30 am to 11.30 am and MOF held at Dataran Putrajaya. A total of 2000 participants broke the record and leave their name in the record.

KPJUC Care For Negeri Sembilan

Tautan Ukhwah KPJUC @ Felda Palong program was organized by School of Behavioral Science and Humanities with the support of KPJUC in the effort of providing of knowledge for the care of the senior citizens. Felda Palong was selected as the platform in creating the awareness. Among the activities were, providing knowledge to the member of the house on the important of understanding why resistance to care might develop and strategies in caring for the elderly and a simple physiotherapy tutorial conducted by experts from KPJUC and assisted by KPJUC students.

The importance of healthcare was also extended to the younger generation through a half day Science and Career Camp organized by KPJUC with support and assistance from SMK Alam Beraja. 480 school children around Negeri Sembilan were given the opportunity to experience guidance in healthcare related matters and as well to participate in various motivational and science development activities.

The one day event at Felda Palong was a huge success with KPJUC objectives of touching all spectrums of ages with healthcare knowledge.

Empowering KPJUC Iron Ladies

24th September 2016, KPJ Healthcare University College joined the Young Women’s Festival held at Dewan Tun Razak 1, PWTC.

The festival was inaugurated by YAB Dato ‘Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia. The main purpose of this carnival is to prepare young women to face the challenges in future by giving them the power via knowledge, spiritual, soft skills, leadership and networking skills.

Present at the ceremony were Prime Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Chief of Wanita UMNO Malaysia, Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Chief of Puteri UMNO Malaysia, Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin and Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim.

The Young Women’s Festival present a variety of interesting and useful activities such as forums and discussion in a ‘town hall’ concept across a range of topics including education, careers and other matters relating to women and children. Dialogue with national cyclist Azizul Hasni Awang and Nur Fatihah and Muay Thai World Junior champion Nur Amisha also took place at the festival.

KPJIC Penang Conquering Ulu Lenggong

16 September 2016 – With the theme of paying forward, KPJIC Penang in collaboration with KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital has organized a one day health care charity event with Ulu Lenggong Community at Kampung Orang Asli Ulu Lenggong, Baling Kedah.

The group kicked off its first programme with a free health care screening for the villagers of Kampung Orang Asli Ulu Lenggong and followed by free hair cut and personal grooming advice for healthcare expert. This programme is just one of many that will be organized and coordinated by both parties in the effort of providing medical care for the rural communities.

KPJUC #berkorbanapasahaja

10th September 2016, KPJ Healthcare University College (KPJUC) together with Kengkawan Project, Sinar FM and Astro Oasis has successfully organized the Free Market program located in Masjid Aminah Al-Muhairi, Petaling Jaya.

The main objective of this program is to contribute to those in need ahead of Hari Raya Aidil Adha. With the themed #berkorbanapasahaja, KPJUC sent a total of 15 volunteers to help and contribute to the success of this program by providing free health screening to the public.

KPJIC JB Ramadhan Festivity

KPJIC JB continued its tradition in upholding the spirit of caring and generosity towards the plight of the underprivileged through bubur lambuk distribution at Masjid Taman Cendana Pasir Gudang.

The event was hosted by KPJIC Johor along with Taman Cendana Mosque Committee, was packed with activities in preparing, cooking and packing 500 packs of bubur lambuk to be distributed. The distribution of the bubur ended at 6.00 p.m. as it is widely known as delicacy and favorite of many during fasting month.
